Why are licenses in the EEA “without Teams”, with Teams EEA sold separately?
Customers in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland buy suites in the “EEA (no Teams)” variant and – if they need Teams – a separate Microsoft Teams EEA license. The calculator switches this mode on automatically when you select an EEA country / Switzerland or Poland in the region selector (the default region is Outside the EEA). Outside the EEA, suites are available with or without Teams.
Note: the database has no USD price for Microsoft Teams EEA, so in EEA mode Teams EEA is shown as “price on request” and is excluded from USD totals.

What does “price unconfirmed / price on request” mean?
For some add-ons (e.g. Defender Suite FLW, Purview Suite FLW – formerly F5, Intune Suite FLW, Purview subsets for E3/F) Microsoft does not publish current list prices. We do not insert our own amounts: such items are clearly marked and are NOT included in totals. The list of items to be quoted appears in the summary and in the CSV export.
How does Frontline differ from Enterprise?
Frontline plans (F1, F3) are intended for frontline workers – without a dedicated computer or using shared devices. F1 provides communication and document viewing; F3 adds browser editing, a 2 GB mailbox and Windows Enterprise. Enterprise plans (E3, E5) include full desktop apps, large mailboxes and advanced security. The calculator never assigns E5 to frontline workers.
What are the “F5” add-ons for frontline workers?
The former Microsoft 365 F5 Security, F5 Compliance and F5 Security + Compliance are today most likely Defender Suite FLW, Purview Suite FLW and Defender + Purview Suite FLW – this mapping follows from matching contents and prerequisites but has not been explicitly confirmed by Microsoft (items are marked in the calculator). They require F1 or F3. Because their current prices are not confirmed, the calculator also offers a priced alternative: F3 + EMS E5.
What about Microsoft 365 E7?
E7 (E5 + Microsoft 365 Copilot + Agent 365 + Entra Suite) appears only as an upgrade path – it is not included in totals and is not recommended by this calculator.
